With more than 20 years of experience in food tours, we offers you unique gourmet experiences with visits to local producers to discover and taste the most famous typical products of the Emilia Romagna Region: Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Parma Ham, Traditional Balsamic Vinegar (TBV) and Culatello di Zibello, the finest Italian cured meat. All our tours are customized and private, so you can decide the date, the language (English, French, German and Spanish so far) and also how many plants you would like to visit. Truffle tours are available in fall and early winter season, from late September.

SINGLE TOURS
Visit of a Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese producer
We highly recommend to be on site by 8.30-9.00 at the latest, when the cheese makers start pulling out the product from the milk vats. The visit lasts about 1 hour 30 minutes, and includes the tasting of different seasoned cheese at the end.
Visit of a Parma Ham producer
Visit of the cooling and salting rooms to end in the magic aging cellar.
The visit lasts about 1 hour and includes a small tasting of ham and other cold cuts (depending on the availability).
Visit of a Traditional Balsamic Vinegar (TBV) producer
The tour starts with a look on the splendid 40 acre vineyards and goes on with the visit of the rooms where the black gold is produced, aged and preserved in ancient barrels.
Final tasting of 15 year old, 22 and 28 year old Balsamico.
The visit lasts about 1 hour 15 minutes.
LAMBRUSCO tasting: With Euro (we quote only on request) each, you can enjoy three excellent wines made by the balsamic vinegar producer (which is also a famous wine maker, exporting all over the world).

The visit starts at 8.30 am at the cheese factory, and finishes approx. at 11.30 pm

Parma Ham and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar
The visit lasts about 3 hours and can take place in the morning or in the afternoon.

Our best seller includes the visit of Parmigiano-Reggiano Cheese, Parma Ham and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar.
The visit usually starts at 8.30 am at the cheese factory and lasts about 5,5 hours.

Tasting of Parmigiano-Reggiano cheese at the cheese factory.
With the visit of the Ham factory: Plate of Parma Ham aged 24 months, water, bread or breadstick, 1 white wine glass.
At the Balsamic Vinegar producer tasting of the different levels of aging of Traditional Balsamic Vinegar (Red Label from 12 to 20 years old, Silver Label 20-25 years old, Gold Label more than 25 years old).

Guided tour at Culatello di Zibello Dop Producer combined with Parmigiano Reggiano cheese, Parma Ham and TBV
Real Culatello is strictly tied to the Po River being actually produced in 12 small villages of the so-called “Bassa Parmense”, a strip of land running along the right side of the Po River, which includes Busseto, Parma Polesine, Zibello, Soragna, Roccabianca, San Secondo and Colorno, approximately 1 hour drive from Parma. The tour includes the visit to the aging rooms, with a mandatory lunch afterwards to taste this excellent cured meat and delicious local dishes.

Transportation is NOT included.
A car is essential for the visit.
It is not possible to use public transports because the factories are in different locations.
If you have your own car, you will be given directions to get to an established meeting point where you will meet our guide.
IMPORTANT: Please ensure you have enough fuel in your car.
A full tour including all three visits plus lunch could involve up to 100 Km/65miles driving.
If you prefer not to drive, you can also use our chauffeur driven service. In this case you will be collected from Parma train station or your hotel and taken directly to where the tour begins and you will meet your guide. The extra-cost for chauffeur driven service in Parma, pick up and drop off depends on the tour. ASK FOR UPDATED RATES

They need a special license otherwise the insurance won’t cover you in case of accident!

No charges for cancellation up to 4 days before the tour date.
50% charges for cancellation up 3 days before the tour date.
75% charges for cancellation up 2 days before the tour date.
100% charges for cancellation the day before the tour or no show.
